Only the bottom bar is real international bandwidth, and it is the only one a speed test should be measuring if you want to know whether ErrorX helps. Bars are illustrative of a typical package, not measurements of your line.

This is a local server. It shows how fast your BDIX path is, which is already high on almost every package — it will not tell you whether ErrorX is helping. Pick an international target for that.

How to test so the result means something

A single test run tells you almost nothing. Two runs, against the same international server, with only one thing changed between them — that is a measurement.

Test on a wired connection if you can
Wi-Fi adds its own variability, and on a busy 2.4 GHz band it can be the entire bottleneck. If your numbers are low on both runs, try a cable before concluding anything about routing.

    Disconnect ErrorX first

    You need a baseline. Make sure the tunnel is off — or set the app to Direct mode — so you are measuring your ISP route exactly as it normally is.

    Test an international server

    Pick Singapore, Mumbai, Jakarta or Tokyo below. Write down the download figure. Do not use the BDIX server for this — it was already fast and will tell you nothing.

    Connect and repeat, identically

    Turn ErrorX on in Rule or Global mode, then run the same test against the same server. Changing the server between runs makes the two numbers incomparable.

    Compare the two numbers

    The difference is what ErrorX is doing for your connection. If it is small, your ISP route to that region was already good — which is genuinely useful to know.

Four patterns cover almost every result. One of them means we cannot help you — and we would rather say so than sell you something that will not change anything.

Speed fine, ping jumps around

Jitter on an otherwise healthy line points to a congested upstream path rather than a lack of capacity. Gaming and calls suffer from this long before downloads do.

Watch the ping and jitter figures, not the download number, when you compare.

Both are fast

Some premium and business lines genuinely have good international routing. If your Singapore figure is already close to your package speed, there is little for us to improve.

Keep your money. Come back if your evenings start getting slower.

Fix your line first

Both are slow

A weak Wi-Fi signal, a saturated router or a fault on the line itself. No amount of routing can repair any of those, and buying a plan now would not change the number.

Test again on a cable. If it is still slow, that is a conversation with your ISP.
